If the Australian government has undertaken the necessary security checks to ensure visas are granted to innocent civilians seeking to come to Australia from Gaza, then those people should be allowed to leave the region and find safety here. It is well documented that there is a humanitarian crisis in Gaza and that there is a need to respond to the critical situation on the ground.

The cancellation of visas to Palestinians that have already been issued to Palestinians increased the vulnerability of people who were already in an incredibly dire situation.

It’s good to see that this has been remedied, proper process has been followed and that those who are eligible can find safety with their family members in Australia.

NIF will always strive to support a diplomatic solution to this conflict that sees the immediate return of the hostages and an end to all fighting to protect the lives of those living in the region.
