Thank you for support of our campaign in honour of Steven Glass z"l.

Together, we raised $90,000 to support two organisations which Steven greatly admired, the Association for Civil Rights in Israel (ACRI) and Physicians for Human Rights–Israel. We also presented Meretz Knesset member Tamar Zandberg with the "Steven Glass Truth to Power Award".

This year we are honouring Meretz Knesset member Tamar Zandberg with the “Steven Glass Truth to Power Award”.

Throughout his life, Steven was a fierce supporter of social justice, human rights, liberal democracy and equality in Australia, Israel and around the world. In choosing Tamar Zandberg to receive the award, NIF Australia is honouring her leading role in promoting human rights and democracy in Israeli society.

We've secured a matching gift, which means each dollar you donate is doubled by our generous supporter.

The funds raised in Steven's memory will be used to support grants to two organisations which Steven greatly admired:

• The Association for Civil Rights in Israel (ACRI) which runs groundbreaking litigation to ensure all everyone living under Israel's control – including Arab-Israelis and Palestinians living in East Jerusalem, the West Bank and Gaza, the LGBT community, refugees and people seeking asylum and more – have access to justice, education and healthcare.
• Physicians for Human Rights–Israel which runs an open medical clinic in Yafo for refugees and people seeking asylum, as well as mobile clinics in the West Bank, and is the only Israeli organisation allowed into Gaza to provide important humanitarian aid.
