2013 has been a big year for NIF Australia.
We have engaged more people in our community with our events than we ever have before. We have more supporters than ever, and more people generously supporting our work in Australia and in Israel.
In our 2013 progress report we have strong voices from just a few of our supporters, as well as updates on the work of some of NIF’s grantees in Israel.
We hope that you’ll join us as we go from strength to strength in 2014.
We are working on a number of fronts. As Israel’s economy grows so do the number of poor, now the highest in the OECD. Additionally, though Israel’s anti-asylum seeker law was ruled unconstitutional, a no less draconian law has been drafted; and the Ultra-Orthodox hegemony over personal status issues remains unresolved, and Jews of all streams are being denied the right to marry in the way they choose.
Looking forward, we already have some great events, speakers and programs in the pipeline, and we can’t wait to share them with you.
