NIF Global Statement on the Murders of two Israeli embassy employees in Washington D.C.
In the wake of the news that two Israeli embassy employees were murdered outside an AJC Global event, the New Israel Fund released the following statement:
We join members of the NIF family and so many around the world as we mourn the two Israeli embassy employees who were murdered outside the Capital Jewish Museum in DC last night. This is an unspeakable act of violence, perpetrated on two young people just starting out on life’s journey. Their murder was seemingly an act of extremist, political violence.
At NIF, we condemn all political violence in the strongest terms. In this moment of deep grief, fear, and outrage for so many Jews, let us resist the pull towards despair, and instead hold fast to the hope that a better, more peaceful future is possible.
