The Jewish International Film Festival (JIFF) is fast approaching, and this year’s program promises to be as powerful and thought-provoking as ever. In times like these, it's a true cultural highlight—and a source of inspiration and reflection.

New Israel Fund Australia is proud to once again be part of this important event. This year we are hosting two special screenings of the multi-award-winning 2025 documentary Holding Liat as part of the incredible program.

Directed by Brandon Kramer, Holding Liat follows the Beinin–Atzili family after the October 7 Hamas attack. When Israeli-American civics teacher Liat Beinin Atzili is kidnapped from her kibbutz, her family must navigate the trauma, media spotlight, and deep political divisions as they fight for her release.
