As Merav and Mark argued, Israel is a vibrant democracy with a rich tradition of political discussion and debate. NIF is proud to support organisations in Israel that help the state live up to its founders’ dream of an inclusive, pluralist and democratic homeland for the Jewish people.

Merav also thanked our community – that’s you! – for all the work we’re doing in Israel. It’s great to have such wonderful allies on the ground working for social justice and democracy.

If you want a chance to hear Merav – who has been brought to Australia by Habonim Dror and Ameinu – she is speaking in Sydney this Wednesday night and in Melbourne on Sunday evening.
