"Fighting for Equality: At the Kotel, on the busses, in the streets" - Anat Hoffman

Anat Hoffman

We’re very excited to be hosting Anat Hoffman, Executive Director of the Israel Religious Action Centre (IRAC) and founding member of the Women of the Wall (WOW), in an exclusive event next month.

To join the event you must pre-register:

Anat will be speaking to us direct from Jerusalem about her passionate fight for religious pluralism, tolerance and equality in Israel.

NIF Executive Director Liam Getreu will be there with her to lead a conversation and Q&A to answer your questions about these critically important issues.

Prior to joining IRAC Anat was a Jerusalem City councillor for 14 years. She has spent her entire adult life pursuing social justice and equality. She led the battle for equal pay for women in the workforce and continues to pray with her fellow WOW members at the Kotel on a regular basis despite ongoing verbal and physical abuse.

As a member of the City Council she worked hard to ensure Orthodox lifestyle choices were not forced on Jerusalem’s secular population as well as advocating for improved municipal services for the city’s Palestinian residents.
