Since Donald Trump won the US presidential election in November much of the status quo of global politics has been thrown up in the air. Join former Deputy Speaker of the Knesset Naomi Chazan to discuss "Israel In The Age of Trump and Netanyahu".
Though some in Israel's government believed Trump's election offered a clean state in the America-Israel relationship, and perhaps even the opportunity to move towards unprecedented growth of the settlements and even the annexation of parts of the West Bank, the reality has been less clear.
Trump, for example, has said that he did not believe "going forward with these settlements is a good thing for peace" and told Netanyahu that he'd "like to see [Israel] hold back on settlements for a little bit."
It has also been revealed that Prime Minister Netanyahu met with the presidents of Egypt and Jordan where they offered him a groundbreaking peace and normalisation deal with the Arab world – the 'regional first' agreement Netanyahu says he prefers - only to be refused by Netanyahu.
