Daniel J. Sokatch is the CEO of the New Israel Fund. Between San Francisco, Jerusalem and everywhere in between he leads a movement of supporters dedicated to democracy and equality for all Israelis. Sokatch has been named 4 times to the Forward newspaper’s “Forward 50,” an annual list of the fifty leading Jewish decision-makers and opinion-shapers.

Before joining NIF Sokatch served as Executive Director of the Jewish Community Federation of San Francisco and was also the Executive Director of the Los Angeles based Progressive Jewish Alliance.
